"These paintings are an attempt to represent the human spirit visually. My images express moods, feelings, and ideas that cannot be represented by logical constructs like descriptions or realistic renditions. I do not know what the final painting will look like until it is finished. It develops through what I see in the painting itself using my intuition and instincts. By not having a preconceived prediction of what the piece will look like, I believe I am open to deeper and more universal imagery."

I believe the quality of our lives is enhanced through cultural experiences. Through painting I strive to come to terms with the human condition, our existence. I surrender my thoughts in the act of painting and let instinct show me what the painting needs. Emotion and intuition instead of reason, lead me through my painting to create whatever naturally evolves on the surface. My work expresses what is uniquely human, our spirit, our higher self, our soul, the shared knowledge and values of a society. I am but a vessel that uses intuition and emotion to interpret this energy.
